Making a decision is the single most powerful mental move you can make.
I am so excited about this week’s show! We are talking all about manifestation, goal setting and how it can help get you a jump start in 2021!
So maybe 2020 didn’t go as planned. Maybe there was some good stuff that came out of it though. If you know me, I’m all about looking for the good and finding the good.
This week I talked to Liberty Santiago, the founder of Diamond Consulting LLC. She is a manifestation coach and a business coach. All of her clients come to her to get help with manifestation and mindset.
I’ve heard so much about manifestation and how it helps people with mindset and helping people achieve their goals.
This is a crazy season right before the end of the year. Time is flying (for the most part) and that is why I think it is so important to talk about goals and really get started thinking about 2021. It’s all about planning.
You don’t want to be chasing your tail. So plan your life, your business, your social media content, etc!
A plan helps you relax and gives you peace of mind that everything is taken care of.
Before becoming a business and manifestation coach, Liberty worked as a surgical assistant in the dental field. She did some financial coordinating and most recently had a financial administrator role for an oral surgeon.
She always felt deeply connected to be working with people, and she just wasn’t using her abilities. She had reached a point in the dental field where there was nowhere else to go. She had earned all of the certifications. She was teaching others what she knew. She wanted to start building her own dream instead of continuing someone else’s.
At first, she didn’t know what she wanted to do. But then after she met her mentor Bob Proctor and watched the movie The Secret, she was taught his lesson on goal setting. He says to calm your mind and think about what you really want to do.
She knew she loved working with people. At the same time, after going through a nasty divorce, a part of that journey was finding herself. People get into routines and one day they realize that’s not what they want. They feel lost. That’s exactly what happened to Liberty.
Her divorce really forced her to look at herself in the mirror and make some really big changes. Bob also suggests once you decide what you want to do, write it down and get fused in your mind that you’ve made a decision. That you are really going to do this. Release the how. That is not relevant right now.
Making a decision is the single most powerful mental move you can make.
So in making the decision to make changes, she found herself and started working with people on a deeper level.
Nobody can see the decisions that you’re making. But people will see the decisions you are making by the results around you that are in your environment and relationships. When you are personally not satisfied with what’s going on around you, you can make decisions that change your trajectory. You are not bound to these paths. When you realize that, it is so enlightening, inspiring and powerful. To watch other people do it and be successful, that’s where Liberty found herself.
“I watched young female entrepreneurs make $100,000 a month, and I thought to myself, “If they can do it, I can do it.”
We are all here for a unique purpose, and it’s not to get up and go to a 9-5 job.
One of the things Liberty focuses on with her clients is to reframe how they talk to themselves. She helps them speak life and truth into their existence. A lot of people say, “I don’t know what to do.” They don’t realize how damaging that is. They also ask the opinion of others and depend on those opinions rather than trust themselves. They keep asking, “What should I do?”
These indecisive feelings literally cause disintegration. We are creative beings and with decision making we have the power to create the life that we want.
If you’re not creating, you’re disintegrating. Being indecisive causes feelings of ambivalence, which really causes an internal conflict. Liberty helps her clients through this by helping them gain clarity. They go through what talents they have. What really sets them apart from other people? How do they see themselves standing up and standing out? What are some visions they have for themselves?
Decision makers are not afraid of making errors.
She teaches her clients that it is okay to go out with this decision. To change their lives and try something new and to make mistakes along the way.
What’s not okay are people who want to give up.
Having a really solid reason why someone is going toward their goals is important. Liberty makes sure that her clients don’t forget that.
It’s about going toward what is possible and not being afraid of making mistakes. That could be something that takes you way beyond your expectations.
Successful people really master failure. That’s where they find true growth. You can ask people, “Where do you find happiness? Is it in a car? Or in a house? Or in a relationship?
Happiness is actually found when you go after something that you maybe didn’t think was possible. You’re stretching yourself. You’re getting out of your comfort zone. Along the way, in the process, is when you’re realizing your happiness. Your goals are starting to unfold. You realize that those thoughts that were holding you back originally were just a mirage that you planted in your mind.
Those thoughts are very valid and very real, but if you have your big shining star in the sky, keep your eye on that. Life is going to show up. There are going to be speed bumps. Someone is not going to be in alignment with you and your path. As long as what you’re doing is ethical, moral and right, on course, then keep going! Don’t stop!
Some people might have some judgment around manifestation. Liberty wants you to know that manifestation is a realization of something you want.
A few things Liberty has manifested:
The man of her dreams
A $10,000 check in the mail
An inheritance of diamonds
She shares her manifestation technique: A vision board. Most people create one then put it away. The technique she teaches has to do with the order in your mind and goal setting.
You first set the goals and then you create order in your mind. We utilize this technique and display it on the vision board.
Liberty equated vision boards to a dentist appointment. You want to be proactive about it. And you want to do it often. Liberty recommends doing one every six months. You can also do a vision board for different things. You can do one for your self-image. A lot of what we do in personal development is to recreate your self-image. Who do you want to become when you realize your goals?
Liberty recommends starting on Pintrest or Instagram so you can create the visualizations in your mind for your own vision board. Our mind thinks in pictures and if our mind doesn’t have the picture then it will be hard to put that together to draw from.
To get into the right mindset for 2021, Liberty recommends collaborating with like-minded people. Liberty has put together a 3-month mastermind that starts in January. You can come together with people who have real goals. You can learn money mindset and to help hold space.
There are going to be these things that are going to want to knock you off your better vibration. Manifestation is all about feelings, visualization and vibration. Liberty works to help keep her clients’ vibration really high. Getting together regularly and studying together and holding space for each other to not allow for any room for retreat.
